An easy win for Brighton at the weekend as the put 6 goals past a struggling Wolves side. Deniz Undav (6′ & 66′), Pascal Groß (13′ & 26′) and Danny Welbeck (39′ & 48′) would sore the goals to sink Wolves. Brighton will be keen to keep pushing for a European spot, they currently sit in 8th on 52 points but have 3 games in hand. Wolves are still in a precarious position, just 7 points ahead of the dreaded drop zone. They’ll be hoping that they can gather more points in the coming games to confirm their safety.

Brentford 2 – 1 Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest were in the lead for most of the game with a goal from Danilo (45+1′) and looked like they would earn a valuable 3 points towards their survival. It would take until the 82nd minute when Ivan Toney would equalise for The Bees. Josh Dasilva would break Forest hearts in the 94th minute to take all 3 points. Nottingham Forest are currently in 18th position but with a far worse goal difference than the teams around them.

Manchester United 1 – 0 Aston Villa

Fulham 1 – 2 Manchester City

Manchester City went top of the Premier League with a 2-1 victory against Fulham. Goals from Erling Haaland (3′) and Julian Alvarez (36′) would be enough to secure the 3 points at Craven Cottage. Curtis Jones (3′), Luis Diaz (5′) and Mohamed Salah (15′) would give The Reds what seemed an unassailable lead. Spurs would fight back to 3-3 with goals from Harry Kane (40′), Son Heung-min (77′) and ex-Evertonian Richarlison (90+3′). The game appeared to be ending with a share of the points util Diogo Jota (90+4′) sealed the win just seconds after the restart. Liverpool move past Tottenham into 5th place with a spot in the Europa League looking the most likely destination for both clubs.
