Premier League Weekend Scores

Another set of weekend fixtures have taken place with fixtures at the top of the table with teams fighting for the trophy and teams battling it out to survive another year in the Premier League. Let’s take a look at all the results:

Aston Villa 3 – 0 Newcastle United

Villa put a dent in Newcastle’s Champions League hopes with goals from Jacob Ramsey and a brace for Ollie Watkins. Newcastle are still in prime position to qualify for the top European competition but will be hoping for better performances in future.

Southampton 0 – 2 Crystal Palace

Southampton are running out of fixtures to save themselves from the drop to the Championship. They currently sit bottom of the league with 23 points, 4 points from safety. Palace edged closer to guaranteeing their Premier League place for next season with two goals from Eberechi Eze.

Everton 1 – 3 Fulham

Everton were unable to push away from the relegation zone with a 3-1 defeat to Fulham. Harrison Reed, Harry Wilson and Daniel James got on the scoresheet with Dwight McNeil netting for The Toffees. Everton are currently in 17th position, just outside the relegation zone on goal difference.

Wolves 2 – 0 Brentford

Wolves moved up to 13th in the league with goals from Diego Costa and Hwang Hee-chan. Brentford are currently in a comfortable 9th position in the league.

Chelsea 1 – 2 Brighton

Brighton were able to fight back against Chelsea after going a goal behind when Conor Gallagher scored in the 13th minute. Goals from Danny Welbeck and Julio Enciso won the game for Brighton at Stamford Bridge, taking them up to 7th position and still in contention for a top 4 place.

Tottenham Hotspur 2 – 3 Bournemouth

Bournemouth were able to take a step closer to safety with a win over Spurs. Matias Vina, Dominic Solanke and Dango Ouattare scored the goals to see off Spurs who are struggling to keep their Champions League hopes alive.

Manchester City 3 – 1 Leicester City

City are in the hunt for the Premier League title and goals from John Stones and a brace for Erling Haaland took them even closer. They’re just 4 points behind Arsenal with a game in hand. Leicester are in 19th position with 2 points needed to take them out of the relegation zone, they’ll be looking to hit much better form before the end of the season.

West Ham United 2 – 2 Arsenal

Arsenal’s title hopes were dealt a blow as they drew to West Ham. Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard gave The Gunners the lead they would have wanted but The Hammers were able to claw back to 2-2, gaining a point in their fight to stay in the league.

Nottingham Forest 0 – 2 Manchester United

United took a step towards Champions League football with their 2-0 win against Forest on Sunday. Goals from Antony and Diogo Dalot were enough to take all 3 points. Forest are in 18th position but only goal difference separates them and 17th place Everton.
