Grand National 2023 Favourites
The 2023 Randox Grand National is right around the corner with the final horses for the race slowly being dwindled down to 40. It’s always difficult to pick a winner with so many obstacles and opponents for the jockeys to navigate, so we thought we’d take a look at the favourites for the race:
Corach Rambler – Odds at time of writing 7/1
Performed well at the Cheltenham festival in 2022, winning the Ultima Handicap Chase. At the age of 9 and with a weight of 10st 5lb, Corach Rambler looks set to be one of the biggest favourites for the race in April.
Noble Yeats – Odds at time of writing 8/1
Noble Yeats looks set to be the favourite to win in 2023 having won last year with amateur jockey Sam Waley-Cohen. The horse will be carrying a lot more weight this time round but at 8 years old, it’s the perfect age for a horse to run its best race. It remains to be seen if Noble Yeats can do what Red Rum and Tiger Roll have by winning back-to-back Grand Nationals.
Any Second Now – Odds at timeof writing 14/1
A horse that has done well in previous Grand Nationals, finishing 3rd in 2021 and 2nd last year, Any Second Now will be at the top of a lot of people’s lists to go one better in 2023. Being aged 11 will put some doubt it others minds, although the horse won’t be able to carry much more weight as it did in previous years.
Delta Work – Odds at time of writing 14/1
The same trainers that won with Tiger Roll are working with Delta Work to rival the top horses at the Grand National this year. Finishing 3rd in 2022, Delta Work will be 10 years old by the time the 2023 race comes around and will be more used to the weight, keep an eye on this horse.
