Premier League Crunch Fixtures

As the Premier League nears the end of the season, there are certain groups starting to form in the table with different teams vying for positions. Some trying to stay in the league, others trying to qualify for European football and the clubs at the top of the table going all out for the trophy. The 22/23 season is no different. Arsenal and Manchester City are in a battle for the title and anywhere from 3rd place Newcastle to 11th place Chelsea are still in contention for the numerous European spots. Let’s take a look at some of the crunch fixtures coming up that will have a big say in what happens come the end of the season:

Leeds United vs Nottingham Forest

Tuesday 4th AprilLeeds United face Nottingham Forest in a massive game on Tuesday 4th April. Even though they eventually lost 4-1 to Arsenal in their last game, Leeds performed well at the Emirates and will want to take that into the game against Forest. Nottingham Forest have been steadily gathering points to keep themselves out of the bottom 3 but it feels like they will need to start winning matches if they are to be truly safe come the end of the season. There are no easy fixtures when it comes to the Premier League, especially with every club fighting for their own position in the table. Both teams will want the 3 points, not only to rise up the table themselves but to put more pressure on the teams around them.

Chelsea v Liverpool

Tuesday 4th AprilBoth Chelsea and Liverpool will see this as a game that could give them a kick going into the tail end of the season. Liverpool still fancy their chances of making it into the top 4 and Chelsea who currently sit in 11th will be wanting to find their feet with a new interim manager in charge after Graham Potter left the club. Liverpool are unbeaten in their last four visits to Stamford Bridge and the 0-0 draw that took place in January was the 5th straight draw between the two sides after the two 0-0s in the Carabao Cup Final and the FA Cup Final last season, as well as the two draws in the league.

Manchester United v Everton

Saturday 8th AprilManchester United take on Everton on Saturday 8th April which could give an idea of where the two teams will end up at the end of the season. United are still in the Europa League with a tie against Sevilla to come, as well as an FA Cup semi-final against Brighton. They will be fighting tooth and nail to qualify for the Champions League ahead of teams like Tottenham and Brighton. Everton on the other hand will be looking for some decent results to take them away from relegation and closer to safety. After decent results against Spurs, Chelsea and Brentford in recent weeks, their Premier League survival is looking more likely. Both teams will be hoping that the clubs around them drop points but it is more important than ever that they get the 3 points for themselves.
