Sevilla Win Europa League

Spanish side Sevilla have won the Europa League for a record seventh time having never lost a UEFA Cup/Europa League final. They beat Jose Mourinho’s Roma in a competitive final in the Puskas Arena in Budapest on Wednesday night. Roma took the lead in the 35th minute through Paulo Dybala, but were pegged back by Sevilla in the 55th minute through a Gianluca Mancini own goal. The match would end up going through extra time and on to penalties where Gonzalo Montiel would score the winning penalty, beating Roma 4-1 in the shootout, handing Jose Mourinho his first ever defeat in a European final. Sevilla will now qualify for the Champions League group stage for the 23/24 which adds to the celebration of winning the Eruopa League trophy.
