Liverpool have been crowned the champions of the Carabao Cup 2022 beating Chelsea in a nail biting final held at Wembley Stadium.

After drawing with Chelsea 0-0 the goal-less game went to extra time and ultimately the end-to-end encounter was decided in a penalty shoot-out with the Reds goalkeeper netting the critical kick of the game winning 11-10.

This seals the reds a record ninth triumph winning the Cup.
