Anfield Road Expansion

Liverpool‘s iconic stadium is set to be bigger and better with the Anfield Road stand completing its expansion in the summer of 2023. An additional 7,000 seats with around 5,200 for general admission and 1,800 with sports bar and hospitality facilities will be available, bringing the total capacity of Anfield to 61,015. There will also be improved concourses and the relocation of the family park to be covered. With the main steel frame now being complete, all that remains is for the outer brickwork to be put in place.

This expansion is another significant milestone in Liverpool’s ongoing efforts to enhance Anfield whilst retaining its historic character. Once the work is completed, the stadium will be one of the largest in the Premier League, giving thousands more supporters the chance to attend matches and be part of the famous Anfield atmosphere. The project is also expected to have a positive impact on the local community, generating additional employment opportunities during construction and increasing footfall for nearby businesses on matchdays.

Fans can also look forward to upgraded facilities, with the improved concourses and hospitality options providing a more comfortable and modern experience. The redevelopment promises to secure Anfield’s reputation as a world-class football venue!
