Setting The Tone For The Season?

This weekend sees the traditional football season opener – The FA Community Shield. This an annual match between the champions of the FA Premier League and the winners of the FA Cup. Manchester City is currently the holder of the Community Shield after beating Chelsea in the 2018 edition of this match.

This edition of the FA Community Shield will go between the 2018-2019 Premier League champions Manchester City and the runners-up Liverpool. At the end of a historical season, there was only one point between champions Man City (98 points) and runner-up Liverpool (97 points). This match is the first opportunity to see how the close these teams will be during this new season. Are we going to see another exciting title race or is one team much stronger? We will find out at this exciting match held at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 4th August.
