NEW: Important Pre-Match Information – Liverpool v Newcastle United 16/12/21
Following the UK government’s Plan B announcement: Fans must bring their COVID documentation to the match as they may be subject to a COVID spot check by the club’s stewarding team. You risk being denied entry to the match if you are unable to show the legally required evidence if asked.
• The new government policy changes will now require all fans across the league with matchday tickets to a home or away fixture to have one of the following for entry:
– NHS COVID Pass – record of double vaccination (and booster if you have had it)
– Confirmation of a negative PCR or NHS lateral flow test OR COVID recovery certificate
– EU digital COVID certificate
– COVID Pass letter for those who are double vaccinated
– Negative COVID test email or text message
• Face coverings are also mandatory when indoors at Anfield but not when seated inside the bowl. You should also wear a mask when moving around the stadium.
• All tickets to access Anfield Stadium are now NFC digital passes which need to be downloaded to a smart phone wallet
• You must download your NFC digital pass to your mobile phone on a Wi-fi network prior to arriving at the Stadium (Anfield has very poor phone signal)
• See separate instructions for downloading NFC passes for iPhone and Android devices
• Supporters are advised to bring photographic ID on match day in case of any difficulties on entry
• It’s advised to turn the screen brightness up on your phone in order to scan your NFC pass quickly
• Please ensure your phone is fully charged
• Supporters are encouraged to arrive early in plenty of time before the match starts to allow for checks and search procedures. Queues may be likely the closer to kick-off you arrive. It is also advised to plan your journey and view the updated travel map (see separate document).
• No bags are allowed in the stadium (only small ones are allowed containing medicines or hygiene products – these will be searched on entry).
• Anfield Stadium is cashless stadium. Contactless and/or chip and pin payments are required in all areas. In line with current COVID-19 guideline and best practice, cash will no longer be accepted.
• Dress Code: The dress code is smart casual. Smart jeans and trainers are permitted as well as home kits and colours. Tracksuits are not allowed.
• Any guests seen to be openly supporting the opposition are liable to be refused entry or ejected from the stadium without compensation. Away colours are not permitted.
• We accept no responsibility for anyone failing to gain entry to the stadium for any reason, and they will not be compensated.
