Coming up in February!

February is a busy month in the world of sport. There are so many different events happening from big games in the Premier league to the Super Bowl. Here’s a selection of what’s going on and when:England v Scotland – Twickenham Stadium – Saturday 4th February – 4:45pm

The Six Nations Championships kicks off on Saturday 4th February with Wales taking on current favourites Ireland in the opening game. England, who have a strong chance of winning the tournament, start their campaign on the same day against Scotland. Philadelphia Eagles v Kansas City Chiefs – State Farm Stadium, Arizona – Sunday 12th February – 4.30pm (US time)

The showcase event of the NFL season is finally happening! The Philadelphia Eagles are slight favourites ahead of Super Bowl 57 in Arizona. Nine-time grammy award winner Rihanna will be performing at the halftime show, which is always an event in itself.

One of the biggest derbies in world football is taking place in February. Liverpool v Everton is always a ferocious spectacle with the two Merseyside rivals looking for an important win. Everton are desperate for points as they look to escape relegation for the 2nd year in a row, while Liverpool want to keep any chances of Champions League football for next season alive.

Chelsea v Southampton – Stamford Bridge – Saturday 18th February – 3:00pm

Chelsea take on a struggling Southampton side at the Bridge on Saturday 18th February. Chelsea still have their eyes on Champions League qualification so any points are incredibly valuable at this stage and they’ll fancy their chances of taking all three points.

Leeds United v Southampton – Elland Road – Saturday 25th February – 3:00pm

Leeds v Southampton could be a huge match in terms of who gets relegated this season. Southampton are bottom of the pile with Leeds only 3 points ahead. It looks incredibly tight at the bottom of the Premier League and any points could make an enormous difference come the last day.

Carabao Cup Final – Sunday 26th February

The Carabao Cup Final is set to take place towards the end of February. The finalists are yet to be decided but each team will see it as a perfect opportunity to secure some much needed silverware early in the season.
